I am a graduate of Willamette University College of Law, serving my clients in many varied areas of law. My primary practice areas are: Family Law and Contract Law. I also have an interest in Consumer Protection, Wills, and General Business.
I am from Los Angeles, California, and relocated to Oregon in 2014. I have served and practiced in a variety of counties in Oregon, most recently Benton County, and now will be proudly establishing myself in Marion County.
Do you only practice in Marion County?
I am open to practicing in any county in the state of Oregon. For areas outside of the Willamette Valley, arrangements can be made. I am happy to sit down with anyone in the great state of Oregon.
Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?
I regularly review documents prepared by clients, and offer constructive feedback wherever possible.
Why did you decide to be a lawyer?
I always knew I wanted to participate in the world of politics or law. When I attended the University of California, Irvine, I signed up for a course taught by the Honorable David O. Carter. Here, I learned there is so much more to the world than just reading about the law. It’s about knowing your rights, knowing how to protect yourself, and knowing that there are people out there who are willing to advocate for you. I found passion and excitement in the idea of assisting others, and being part of a profession that requires me to interact with different people from all walks of life on a daily basis.
What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?
Growing up in as big of a population as I did, coupled with real life experiences in struggle and adversity, I firmly take a sincere interest in helping those in need. I feel that every experience gives you the opportunity to truly learn something, and become stronger. My mother, father, and grandparents truly taught me that encouraging solutions, as opposed to encouraging tragedy and negativity is never the solution. There is always an opportunity to turn an action or life event around at every corner.
Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?
Family law to me is very personal. I enjoy creating stability through negotiation and mediation. I firmly believe Family Law is one of the few areas of law that allows you to step into the shoes of your client, and become an integral part of their next step in life. As a lawyer in this field, I believe we are your key turn solution to taking the next step to a new life of happiness and enjoyment.
What do you like best about your career?
The thing I like most about being an attorney is being genuine in a field that truly has the ability to change peoples lives. I often find we are gatekeepers and translators in a world full of rules and codes. I enjoy bringing happiness to people, and receiving phone calls that reflect a good days work.
What are you strengths and style?
My strengths are my ability to listen and advocate to my clients, other attorneys, the courts, and most importantly honesty. I pride myself on being honest in a profession that advocates ethics and integrity.
I enjoy hiking, camping, the outdoors, music, friendship, and following current events.
